Mastering Watercolor in Just 4 Weekends! Download Class Details

This class is carefully designed to cover key watercolor techniques and important design components in just four weekends. Each weekend’s class will be focusing on one specific learning area; you then will have a week’s time to digest and practice for mastery  until we meet next weekend. By the fourth weekend, you will be able to confidently create your very own successful watercolor paintings.

.

1st weekend: Mastering Water You’ll be mastering the secret of watercolor timing: learn when and how, and how much to apply water in your brush, palette or on to your paper.

2nd weekend: Mastering Colors You will be mastering the secret of direct color mixing, a professional approach of using pigments from palette directly to the paper, combined with your already familiar color theory in watercolor painting.

3rd weekend: Mastering Shapes You will be mastering the magic of symbol creation, with many “how to” tips for painting mountains, trees, waterfall, reflections and other common landscape subject matters in the style of impressionism.

4th weekend: Mastering Mood and Atmosphere Creation You will be mastering the easy-to-follow value sketch process and learning the secret of using tonal values to create various emotional moods for your paintings.

Sketching Into Watercolor Go to Samples >

Having difficulties starting your painting? Want some precise stroke but seems always "miss the mark"? Then this class is for you!

Sketch into watercolor is a quick, easy and fun way to create a great piece of artwork. Anyone can learn this simple yet powerful technique. It is also excellent for creating expressive watercolor without losing your control. See some samples I've done in my Gallery.

We will learning how to start a painting by sketching out for best composition, then leading to a complete piece by combining expressive watercolor washes and sketch strokes together.

You will see demos on how to combine simple watercolor washes and sketch strokes into one complete watercolor piece, You will also learn how to create and reuse a simple ink and wash sketch over and over again for creating multiple new paintings from it.
